ABOUT
Hi, I'm Guadalupe.
I don't believe therapy should feel like you're talking while someone sits across from you silently taking notes.
I want to understand you. I'm curious about your experiences, the relationships that shaped you, the patterns you've developed, and how all of those pieces connect to what you're experiencing today.
My style is warm and conversational, but I'm also direct. I'll listen and make room for difficult things, but I'll also ask questions, share observations, help you notice patterns, and challenge you when I think it could be useful.
I see therapy as something we do together.

MY APPROACH
There isn't one way to do therapy.
I approach therapy from a trauma-informed and culturally responsive perspective. I don't believe one therapeutic approach fits every person, so our work may draw from Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness-based approaches, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gottman-informed work depending on your needs and goals.
I also believe we can't fully understand ourselves outside of the environments that shaped us. Family, culture, relationships, identity, expectations, loss, survival, and the experiences we've carried all have a place in the room.
The goal isn't for me to tell you who you should become. It's to help you understand yourself more fully so you can decide what you want to carry forward and what you no longer want directing your life.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES
The work is individualized to the person in the room.
